Geelong YMCA Holiday Programs

Conducted at YMCA Stadium 25 Riversdale Rd, Newtown.

The Geelong YMCA conducts Holiday program activities during the School Holiday period for children in Prep through to Year 8.

The children are split into 4 groups:  Prep & Grade 1, Grade 2 & 3, Grade 4& 5, Grade 6 to Yr 8.

Program Activities include: Day trips, art & craft, indoor / outdoor sports, music and drama, rollerskating, rockclimbing, gymnastics, basketball and more. Structured activities  begin at 9.15am and conclude at 4.00pm. Before and after these times children have free time to participate in various activities 

Operating Hours : The building is open from 7.00am to 6.00pm.

Please note: Due to the sale of the Yarra St site all YMCA programs are now held at the 

YMCA Newtown Stadium, (25 Riversdale Rd, Newtown, 3220. Ph 5223 2714).

All children from Prep to Grade 6 are eligible to apply for childcare assistance through CENTRELINK – Ph. 136150. Secondary school age children may also be considered for funding under certain circumstances. Please call the YMCA for further details. Program Details and Costs. Fees $44.00 per day (all activities included).

ALL program fees are able to be claimed through the Childcare Benefit Scheme and will be issued by invoice with all fees due within 7 days.

Note: Fees must be paid within 7 days of receiving your invoice to avoid a $5.00 per day administration fee for further accounts.

Program Groups: 

Juniors - Prep and Grade 1
Intermediate - Grade 2 to 3
Seniors - Grade 4 to 5
Out & About - Grade 6 to Year 8
*Please note: For January programs all children remain in the previous years grade.

What to bring - All children must bring a snack for morning & afternoon tea and a packed lunch. If your child would like to bring a drink please ensure the lid can be replaced after opening. Cold fresh water is available all day for drink bottle refills. Please read our parent information document and parent handbook for further details.
