With 10 years’ experience in sport, health, tertiary education and public sector, I have a strong passion for equity, community engagement and best practice healthcare. A Master’s in Exercise Physiology led me to clinical and project management roles in the not for profit community health setting and fostered professional opportunities locally and overseas. More recently, as a provider specialist responsible for managing a portfolio of relationships and standards across the health, disability and trauma sector.
I am an advocate for sport and its capacity to positively impact the health of young people and their connection to community. Supported by partnering and collaborating with community members to co-design and implement programs in diverse settings.
The YMCA Board actively encourage young people to extend their skills and knowledge in the governance and stewardship, this saw Annabel join the Y Board in 2022 and is the Chair of the Risk and Safeguarding Committee and Board Safeguarding Sponsor.
